104 GENESEE STREET · DOWNTOWN UTICA, NY
ABOUT SILK UTICA
A craft cocktail lounge with a real kitchen and a serious pastry program, open on Genesee Street since February 2025.
We built the room we wanted to go to.
I'm Tyler Young. By day I'm a doctor of physical therapy. By night I run a cocktail lounge on Genesee Street, which makes about as much sense as it sounds.
Silk opened in February 2025 to give Utica something it did not have. We started with craft cocktails and dessert, made the way they are supposed to be made. We do not cut quality to hit a cheaper price, and we never will. What you pay is what you are actually getting.
Then people kept asking for food, so we built a kitchen to match. Nine savory plates. Eleven desserts. Made in house, by hand, by a pastry team that does not know how to do it halfway.
Our gluten free items are the exception. Our kitchen is not big enough for a dedicated gluten free prep space, so we bring those in rather than risk it. We would rather tell you that up front than have you find out the hard way.
So no, we are not just a dessert bar. We are the place you walk in at five and leave at eleven, having had dinner, three cocktails, and something absurd with chocolate on it.
Bring your people. Break a few rules. Let us handle the rest. Utica, we are here for you.

BECAUSE THE BEST NIGHTS START HERE.
Chic, never stuffy.
We are high end and we will still laugh at your group chat name. We are also open to being added to it.
Made here, by hand.
Nine savory plates, eleven desserts, and a bar program that does not cut corners. Our pastry team makes every dessert in house, from the components up.
Your night, your rules.
A solo martini moment, a birthday that got out of hand, a first date, or a Tuesday that needed rescuing. Silk works for all of it.
Unforgettable energy.
Come for the cocktails. Stay for dinner. Leave with a story.
